A surgeon's first encounter with collagen.
As a young orthopedic surgeon, I saw firsthand how collagen could help heal wounds — diabetic foot ulcers, chronic non-healing injuries. Back then, oral collagen wasn't even a thought. I worked with it at the operating table, on the dressing tray, in the recovery room.
Oral collagen arrives — and shows its limits.
When oral collagen tablets emerged, I eagerly brought them into my practice. I used them for knee osteoarthritis, tendon issues, ligament recovery. But these tablets were large, expensive, and patients struggled with consistency. I saw them lose momentum — it was hard swallowing pills twice a day.
A simpler format — and a years-long search for the right stack.
I stumbled upon liquid collagen shots. One daily shot, simpler, and the results were striking. But I didn't stop at collagen alone. I spent years researching: what if I added clinically proven ingredients — rosehip for inflammation, curcumin for recovery? I carefully layered in these actives, perfecting a formula over years.
Something unique — and a co-founder with a complementary mission.
By 2024 I had something unique. One potent shot a day — no pill burden, just results. Older patients who once struggled to swallow now found ease. Athletes recovering from surgery embraced it. The compliance, the comfort — it all came together.
With Dr Raashi Mehta, a dermatologist equally passionate about collagen, we expanded. We created Skelecoll for joints, Collabloom for skin. What started as a surgical tool became a brand built on trust, blending science and daily life.
